…Happy Sinhala & Tamil New Year 💙

…this year I couldn’t bring myself to celebrate, but in previous years (when I’ve been away from home 🇱🇰), I’ve gathered with fellow Lankans. In Sri Lanka my family never really celebrated New Year, but having lived in 🇳🇱 for the last 8+ years, I find myself thinking more and more about the traditions and wealth of culture I took for granted.

This year the New Year was rung  at 12.06 am on 14th April, and the auspicious colour is blue, and one should face South. ✨
