Something Better Than Nothing?
โฆone of my favourite weeks of the year has just concluded! ๐ค ๐
โ
As I begin to digest and process the Institute for Developing Across Differences (IDD) European Lab and Community week, the community of like-minded lifelong learners grows! Iโll be sharing my insights soonโฆ We had a great panel discussion on a topic very close to my heart. We heard a variety of (contrasting) view points from Darla K. Deardorff, Nagesh Rao, Mai Nguyen, Milton J. Bennett, Maja Nenadovic, PhD, Dr Anjana Singh and Michaela Carriere expertly facilitated by Nadine Binder, PhD (ACC, CPCC) and Melissa Liles. Is something better than nothing? As a DEIB trainer, facilitator and speaker I am constantly treading a fine line - as I believe we all should be!
โ
๐๐ฝ Iโd love to hear your ๐ญ โฆ What is our responsibility as practitioners and educators? Do we need to be creative in how we package what we do? Is it creative, deceptive - ethical? Whatโs been on your mind in your context as Iโm painfully aware how different our contexts can be ๐.
โ
For now, all I am sure of is that itโs my responsibility to do the work myself - and never stop questioning, examining and learning!
